Happy birthday to my husband, Zach! This is his fourth birthday we've celebrated together. I'm so thankful for him and so thankful for what God has done for our marriage. If you would of asked me less than a year ago if I thought I would get married at 23, leave my job, school, friends, and family, and pack up and move to Colorado where I knew no one, I would of thought you were nuts! But trusting in God and jumping out in faith was one of the best decisions I've made. I'm so happy to be here with him and to be married to him. He is so thoughtful, faithful, and eager to better our marriage every day! Happy birthday to the best husband ever!

Obedience
Earlier today I was putting all of the letters from when Zach was in basic training into a display box for the office. I ended up reading a few and came across something that his mom (my mom-in-law!) wrote to him. She said "Obedience to God brings blessings, and disobedience brings curses." That quote stuck with me all throughout the day and I just had to share, because it is so true. Some of the best blessings that have come my way have happened when I was truly obedient. Having quiet time, praying, and studying the word are all so important and this quote really motivates me to be 100% obedient.

Our fire pit!
A few weeks ago we completed our first home project! We decided to do a fire pit first, since we have people over a lot, and it's always cool in the evenings in Colorado! We went to Lowe's for all of the materials, and it only cost about $80. We love it!

May goals
I can't believe May is here already! Time has gone by so fast. I can't wait to see what adventures this summer brings!
May Goals:
1. Finish the office renovations. This weekend we started a few projects for the office and we hope to get them finished next weekend. The entire office won't be fully done, but I will post updates little by little :)
2. Complete the She Reads Truth study that I've started this month.
3. Start and stick to a running schedule. Why is this always so hard to stick to?
4. Have a get together for Zach's birthday/Memorial Day. Delicious, festive food. Presents. Grill out. Fire pit!
5. Have one weekend with Zach, JUST the two of us. Every weekend we end up having friends over, which we love, but I think it will be good for it to just be us for a weekend!
